What we do | How you can help | Town Committee members

Who we are

The Massachusetts General Laws require every municipality to have City or Town Committees to foster the aims of the major parties. The Lexington Republican Town Committee consists of up to 35 members elected for four-year terms at each Presidential Primary.  The Committee may appoint as many non-voting Associate Members as it wishes.

The purpose of the Committee is to promote the principles of the Republican State and National Committees and to promote the election of Republican candidates.

How you can help

Independently

There are a number of steps you can take on your own to help the Republican cause:

  • Make sure that your relatives and acquaintances who are sympathetic to the Republican cause are registered and vote Republican.
  • If you like to express your opinion publicly, write letters to the editor supporting our policies, our candidates, and our elected officials.

In coordination with the Town Committee

  • Attend our meetings, which are open to the public. Meeting announcements will appear in the Minute Man and in the Calendar section of the LRTC web page.
  • Participate in one or more of the Town Committee Activities.
  • Contribute financially to the Town Committee. Your checks made out to the Lexington Republican Town Committee will be gratefully accepted by our treasurer:
            Dorris P. Traficante

    16 Fairbanks Road..
              Lexington, MA 02421
  • Join the Town Committee. Some demonstrated willingness to work for the Republican cause (along with being a registered Republican) goes a long way toward qualifying you for Associate Member status.
